Oliver Percovich, the founder of Skateistan, had a horde of young Afghan boys around him after he exposed his skateboards on the streets of Kabul. But when Siar Ahmadi, Skateistan’s techie, set foot in Islamabad with a couple of skateboards in one hand and a job to do in the other, he found it difficult to find skateboarding enthusiasts.
The younger generation of Pakistan, as it initially seemed to him, did not recognize this urban sport and were reluctant to enjoy its exciting piths and flights.
